What an ambitious game! I really like it. Making an asymmetric multiplayer is very cool; I guess because it relies on having two people it can be hard for most people to play. But I was able to play and I enjoyed it! š®š
Fun puzzle ideas that get you really excited once you realize what the other person's clue means. I thought I was stuck on the jungle one, but then I realized the layout was zig-zag instead of a top and bottom row.
Great job with this! Do you have plans on developing it further? I'd suggest adding some kind of hint system in case players are stumped. I would also add some sort of noise to indicate when you successfully completed a puzzle (similar to the first door one). I hope you all are proud!
Thank you! We had a bunch more ideas for puzzles, but unfortunately all my favourites (except for the animal one) got scrapped due to time constraints.
Thanks! Iām actually so, so happy someone managed to play it all the way through, none of us have lmao.
Unfortunately, we have no plans for this game in the future. Honestly, I really hated developing this. The project is a complete mess. The last thing you see, āI needed to hear that,ā was a reference to the fact I was so worn out by the end of it that I couldnāt wait to hear āCongrats, youāre doneā and stop working on it.
I will, however, be doing at least 10 jams over the course of a year, starting about this month, but Iām aiming for 30! 2 are down, in the middle of a third. This game is definetly going to be at the bottom of the list of games Iām proud of during this year of jams.
If youād like, I can update you with any future multiplayer or asymmetric muliplayer games I make. Or puzzle games if thatās what floated your boat about it.
Your gameās animation is incredible by the way! The background art is stunning, too. I didnāt have time after the jam to check out many otherās games, due to personal circumstances, but Iām trying to get better at it and Iām committed to trying at least a dozen out after the jam Iām doing right now.
Haha, very refreshing to hear your honest experience working on this!
I hope your game jam journey goes well. This was my first jam and I learned so much; a big thing being how important it is to set boundaries with how much work you're putting in so you don't get overwhelmed. Hopefully in your other jams you have a more enjoyable experience! I'll keep an eye out for anything else you might put out there.
And I appreciate the kind words. Thanks for taking a moment to check it out. :)
