Thank you!

Thank you!  We had the animations ready to go but didn't get to put them into the project in time.

Thanks!

Thank you!  I wish we could say the song was ours, but it was borrowed from an external source.

Yeah I agree that would have been better.  Unfortunately, I had to spend longer on the level design than I thought and ran out of time to change that.

Thank you for playing!  I actually didn't take the theme into consideration at all as I couldn't think of any ideas for it.

Thanks for playing!  I've taken your critiques on board and will be looking at making the colours more distinct before the jam submission deadline.  I think part of the issue is that I was forced to change the colour space settings from linear to gamma for the Web GL build which may have screwed up the aesthetic a bit.

Thank you for your feedback!  Unfortunately I have a bad habit of making my puzzles symmetrical - it's just how my brain seems to work!  I also tried modifying Level 4 the way you suggested: however, I found the level can now be beaten with just 3 moves per turn and felt like the new version isn't distinctive enough from Level 3 so I chose to leave it as it originally was.

Thank you!  We had a bunch more ideas for puzzles, but unfortunately all my favourites (except for the animal one) got scrapped due to time constraints.

Thanks so much, we really appreciate it!

Really fun game!  Also I'm not sure why, but the graphics remind me a little of River City Ransom.

Great artwork and music, and the gameplay is also quite fun!

A unique experience for sure!  I highly enjoyed the narrative.

A great way to utilise the theme, with a game loop that cleverly blends together puzzle solving and resource management.  It got tough in the back half, but I pulled through.  Well done to the team!

One of the most original takes on the theme I've seen yet!  Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to get some gasoline to drink.

Very good game!  The use of a card deck is unique with this premise, and the periodic sacrifices help ramp up the challenge the further you go and make it more of a struggle overtime to get to each checkpoint before your emotional meter runs out.  A simple but fun gameplay loop, and I enjoyed playing all the way to the end!

If I had made the game, I would have allowed the player to choose which body part to sacrifice each time they reach a flag.  However, still an interesting idea and a good way to interpret the theme!

Exhibits don't come to life and there's no Ben Stiller, 0/10

Joking aside, this was both interesting and fun to play!  While the general concept feels quite familiar, it really works here!  Having one exhibit get swapped out per hour is a good mechanic that creates a solid gameplay loop, and with how many exhibits there are in total it's certainly a difficult game!

Thank you, glad you enjoyed!

I really like this game!  It has some interesting puzzle elements especially with the 2 worlds you have to switch between, the graphics are well above average, and the music is also neat.  Great job!

A really cool idea for a puzzle game.  The graphics are also top notch!

This is a solid arcade concept!

Having multiple stories certainly helps this stand out among other tower defence games.  The outline effect used for the visuals is also a nice touch!

Could be more challenging, but still a cool game!

Thank you for giving our game a go, and glad you noticed some of the attention to detail like the dynamic BGM!  You're also correct about both critiques, but I'll try to provide an excuse for each of them anyway.  Due to the timeframe, it was difficult for us to develop the obstacles beyond a form that simply required basic use of the core mechanics.  As for the limitation, we mainly designed the game around the theme for another jam before deciding to submit it to this one too, so the theme of riches to rags was basically an afterthought for us.  But thanks again for the feedback!

A creative blend of the dice and rogue-like genres.  The music and visuals are also a lot of fun, and the gameplay itself is deceptively challenging!

A simple but perfect story.  I also like how the colour becomes darker as you progress through the narrative!

A cleverly designed puzzle game.  The coin mechanic forces you to plan out your routing carefully, and the cracked tiles help ramp up the challenge!

Thank you!

A good foundation for a card battle game.  Hope to see you expand on the mechanics after the jam!

Not bad!  The character art is well done and so are the animations bar the lack of a climbing animation for the player.  The gameplay is pretty fun though there doesn't seem to be much of a difficulty curve - that said the game is quite short so maybe it didn't need one.

The concept is strange but quite neat and well executed!  My only issue is that some of the text can be quite difficult to read, and it took me a few minutes to find out you can click on an item to see the ID in bigger text.

Loved it!  The gameplay concept is unique, the overall vibe is charming, and the fact that one of the music samples is a cat meowing made me laugh!

Great idea for a game!

Couldn't get through the final boss but it was a great time!  I enjoyed everything from the routing to the characters to the humour, and even the combat isn't half bad.  Well done to the whole team!

I like the puzzle aspect of this game, and the idea is actually pretty similar to ours!

Though this game has its flaws, I'll still give you an A for effort!  I definitely know how it feels to work hard on a jam entry only for it to not meet your expectations.  But that's the good thing about game jams; there'll always be plenty more opportunities around the corner.  Hope to see you continue jamming!

A fun trio of bosses here, though I found the first one by far the most difficult (then again, maybe that was just because I was still getting the hang of grappling).  That said, I actually really enjoyed the grapple once I was able to use it properly.  I also loved the music for the second fight, and the end dilemma was unexpected and clever!

A creative expansion on the base concept of Asteroids that works great with the theme.  The decrement of firepower versus the lower likelihood of losing even more ships as your army shrinks is an interesting trade-off!

The music was great, and I liked the visual of the earth becoming more fractured after each asteroid hit!  Nice job.
