Use of the limitation
There is a scheduler in game that you can use to make sure NPCs do a specific task ex green is work, yellow is gather, red is attack enemies, gray is idle. There is also a day night cycle that at night the enemies spawn.

Cookies eaten
Mt Dew and pretzels was my snack of choice

I like the animations the wheat dance and enemy punch the most lol. Very in-depth game nice job!

Thanks for playing!

Big fan of the little stick guys. And the Slider for the day/night cycle was super slick. I think going forward this would benefit from more "base building" options, like walls, other types of traps or sentries, perhaps the "farms" could be more normalized, rather than spread out random resources to further lean into the "base building" aspect. Otherwise super cool game!

Thanks for playing! I agree I wanted to go for more base building and make it grid based but the npc behaviors took some time so I had to add the extra stuff quick and dirty lol

honestly, that was pretty enjoyable! i appreciate the effort you put into the art/animations

Developer

Thanks for playing! I had a blast doing the animations :)

I really like the use of the limitation. That scheduler is cool :)

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah I did have fun with the scheduler it gave me an opportunity to experiment with simple npc behaviors in pygame.

Respect for doing it all in pygame that must have been hard

Good game! It kind of reminds me of Don't Starve! It was a little laggy, but that could just be on my end

Developer

Thanks for playing! It's possible, pygame is a little slow in the browser but I have been trying different ways to make game objects a little more performant during these jams

Good game but it took sometime to figure out how to use the scheduler it was a little bit hidden for me I thought the green bar was my health or something else.

Developer

Thanks for playing! That's fair, I should have added a bit more info in game.
