Saying that you are not the hero does not mean you are the villain necessarily. Unless that is what you mean, but can that be interpreted as you are not the "hero" of the story, as in you are a side character?
yes. You are just not the hero, you may even be a dog observing the hero. Or a shop owner.
Being a Shop Owner that sells to the hero, I feel like that would be a awesome game!
You could sabotage the hero. That would be a cool mechanic.
