I liked it! I only found out how the portals work through the comments here. The portals could be used as walls, this was a really interesting mechanic and gave time to breathe in such a fast paced environment. The shooting mechanism felt really fun and the different weapons were great.
Hey, thanks for your kind words! I honestly am not sure how to explain the portal mechanic clearly. I was kind of just hoping people would test things out in the start screen first before hopping into it, or just discovering it after some time, definitely not good design haha. I didn't want the controls menu to be too much text either. If you have any suggestions as to how I could explain it more clearly, I would love to hear another perspective!
I think I found a bug. The revolver and the shotgun use all of their ammo in one shot whereas the pistol does not.
Oh wow, I totally missed that! Thanks for catching such an obvious mistake!
Really quite good! Feels great to play
Thank you for your feedback! Glad you enjoyed it!
The games initial mechanics of shooting the spirits while having to place down portals in order to gain a score is super fun. The Art also looks really good, fitting in with the music nicely to create a tense yet magical scene. My main issue was that I didn't discover the shop until I got too a score of about 15000, But if you read the How To Play (which I didn't ha...) you'll pick it up quickly. The weapons all felt really smooth, and the enemy attacks felt incredibly balanced. Overall great game!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I was planning on putting an actual shop area rather than being able to access it from anywhere, but sadly I ran out of time. You're right, it is pretty counterintuitive, so I'm definitely working on things to improve this. I'm glad you enjoyed it though!
