Great game! Would have liked the bullets to have been a bit faster and to have went straight instead of diagonally. Other than that, a solid game! Liked the parallax clouds.

The trajectory of the bullets is a bit wonky, everything else is good

AAAAAA I'M BEING BOMBARDED WITH CHILI PEPPERS

Tastes good, though. ;)

I was trying to left click, and it would almost never let me shoot. I am not too sure why, but this really took a lot away from the games enjoyment.  Not being able to shoot made the game quite difficult. The concept was great though, and it fit perfectly with the limitation and theme. The game was still playable too, so there isn't too much to worry about. Overall a pretty solid game.

So sorry to hear that shooting has been an issue for multiple players. It works normally on my laptop (even on the web build), so I'm not sure where to begin troubleshooting this. I'll have to learn more about controls, I think.

Here's another thought. Since the dominant strategy is to keep the button pressed constantly, and there really is no reason to let go the button (e.g., there's unlimited ammo)...

...perhaps the ideal solution is just to have the character fire continuously, with no need to press the button at all. I think maybe I'll try that and see how it plays.

Thanks everyone for trying the game out!

Nice shooter, but I found that clicking wouldn't shoot.  I eventually figured out that holding the spacebar would continue to fire.  The lob of the shot also made it hard to hit anything.

Developer

Interesting... it should be the left mouse button. I don't know what happened there.
Yeah, the arc is difficult to use. I was intending to avoid the typical hyper-aggressive feel of a shooter.
Nice boid implementation btw!

To clarify the controls issue.  Rapidly clicking the left mouse button did not fire lots of projectiles, it did almost nothing.  Holding the button did work.

for me it shot using left mouse button but I had to click on the player for that to happen, otherwise it doesn't shoot.
