The concept is nice, but the controls didn't feel so responsive to me. I'd easily get some momentum I didn't want and end up inevitably hitting a wall even having released the button a few units away of it. And the fact you die in walls really worsened it.

But I do believe it can get really fun with some tweaks and more polishing! If you plan to keep working on this ofc

I do plan to keep working on it, and I want to rewrite lots of the movement stuff. It was super cluttered, and I'm still finding new ways to do things. It might be a while, but I will at least get to a movement system overhaul.

great concept hope to see more games in the future!

controls are little clunky, but the the concept is cool

Ummm, difficult to control. In fact, I couldn't figure out how to get used to the controls. Maybe some kind of feedback would be good.

I like a challenge so I played this game for a while. I don't mind the sliding around as much as I thought I would. It added to the challenge. It just needs to be reduced a little. Especially the speed you build as you go. That was what really got me. I was almost more worth it to move forward a bit then stop in order to not build so much momentum. I think the other thing I'd want is more understand of where the check points are. A simple "progress saved" pop up message or a flag of some kind would be plenty. It felt like sometimes the check points where closer together than others. Which isn't bad but I couldn't guess because of the variation.

I say all that to then say.. keep working on this. Some fine tuning and I think it'd be a really fun game. You could add power ups to add some more challenge or to help get over some of the more difficult corners.

it felt to slippery and every time id start moving i wouldn't stop when it looked like it shood have, it was a really good conept and i liked the older looking graphics

Yeah the sliding is a relic of an old mechanic that I accidentally left in when I migrated the movement system to something more state based. The idea was you'd build up momentum, but it just feels awkward without sound queues or larger areas to show speed or really use it.  I should've deleted the mechanic earlier in development.

I like the idea of this game, the execution not so much. The controls are really slidey and the bug dies every time it hits a wall. So my experience was this: boing BWAAAAA boing BWAAAAAA boing BWAAAA BWAAAA boing BWAAAA

Also I couldn't get past the second pit. ):

I do like the art though!
