I used no text at all, all buttons are icons such as a door etc. Click the Roman on the start screen to begin

Is it still too soon? 😢 Anyway, I like the character and animations, and I love how you used the character as the start button, all while displaying that he is running away from the volcano in the title screen. Gameplay-wise, perhaps it needs some variety in the obstacles and movement, maybe add some animals and stuff. The collision of the obstacles also feel a bit too big. Overall, good job!
Thanks, I do plan to update this at some point with new objects, as well as a sliding animation to slide under fallen pillars. Didn't realize the hit boxes were that bad will definitely need to redo them. Thanks for the help :)
I love the art and slow motion effect, it's kinda relaxing game for me. There are potential in this game. Good work :)
Thanks if there was what changes would you make?
It would be jumping ı guess. Runner game like this need more forgiving when you try to dodge obstacle to give player to near miss satisfaction.
great idea with simple execution, the hand standing out from lava was a good touch as well. To think that this is based on real-life events makes it sad, well done good choice mate.
Cheers dude, yeah I had the idea for a Roman game for a while and when I saw the theme being rush I couldn't think of a better event than Pompeii
I definitely like the sound effects used in the game and I don't know if it was intentional, but the slow motion really makes you FEEL like a Roman escaping from Pompeii! Overall the game is nice.
Thanks glad you enjoyed the game. I spent about 30 minutes just trying to figure out how quick it needs to be but i also thought it added a bit of realism to the game.
