Hi all! Just wanna wish everyone good luck, and for anyone struggling YOU CAN DO IT! This is my first successful Jam as a designer making a game without code, and the relief is real. I learned a lot from my previous attempts though but i'm glad to have finally managed it this time. If you 're worried that you're not good enough, that you don't know what you're doing, that it isn't worth it, just stop and breathe :) These are all lessons you're learning, and one lesson you learn today could be the thing that speeds you up during your next attempt and makes it possible.
If the game you make isn't exactly what you hoped for, still be proud. Its yours - show it off with pride! And if you don't manage it this time then don't worry, learn your lessons and go even stronger into the next one. In either case there's still a lot to be proud of!
I stream myself playing and discussing game jam games and will be doing the same for Mini Jam 91. At the very least i'll spend some time on Thursday evening (6-8pm BST) doing this, though I may also run an earlier stream in the week and spend some of my saturday stream (12:30-4:30pm BST) doing it too. I take submissions, so if you're interested in having me discuss/play your game live on stream please stop by on Twitch when i'm active - www.twitch.tv/gamedevdeputy .
Best of luck everyone :)
David
