A pong / breakout game is a surprisingly original idea for a roguelike. I kind of like this mixture of classic and modern designs. The visuals are all very minimal and clear, and I like that you used a background color other than black, which makes the visuals feel more relaxed and original.

One glitch(?) I did encounter is that, if I push the ball straight up, it'll suddenly move diagonally the next turn. Which hurts strategy a bit and can lead to some unexpected movement.

Overall, this is pretty nice. Using random doors was a pretty clever way to convert this from an arcade game to a roguelike.

I think this concept is great! Keep polishing this game and it could be an arcade classic. I got to level 6.

Nice Job

Woah a Brick Breaker roguelike, really neat idea! It can be a little bit hard to control the ball's direction but you get an extra point for originality (unlike me.. xD)

im really confuse. the stick is supposed to be capable of redirect the ball to the left or right depending on the stick corners, but in this game its not :c. i didnt enjoy this...

I love the idea of mashing up a breakout with the turnbased, it definitely made me think about each move more!

Its a puzzle game.

Very cool idea. Unfortunately, the fixed angle of the ball's path means the payer is just moving a slider to match the ball's position and doesn't have any say in where it goes. Still, it's well made and there's a lot of potential. Good work!

Wow, that's an interesting twist on a classic breakout game! It's way too difficult though, especially because you can't really control where the ball's going and i would also add some music. Overall, nice concept, unfortanetly not too enjoyable though, sorry. I still hope my feedback helped you and it would be nice if you could check out my game too. Thanks!

The concept is amazing, and greatly incorporates the limation. A bit more procedural geneartion would have been nice.

The actual game on the other hands really misses polish. It plays rather sluggish and thus is no exactly enjoyable. This isn't helped by the fact it becomes repetitive.

So... sorry :<

This is an interesting game. The concept is pretty cool but unfortunately I didn't enjoy it too much. The fact that you made this game using Java is pretty impressive though. Good work.

Developer

Thank you for being honest! You are right about it's not being enjoyable. The reason for that is that I changed the concept mid way during the development and this is my first published game using this game development framework with just couple days of JAVA experience.

I know I can't excuse that. Thanks for playing by the way!

This game is fun, the concept is fun, but I feel like there were levels which were just impossible due to the straight 45 ° path of the ball and bad geometry calculations. Sometimes it immediately hit the picture which ended the game, sometimes I was stuck because the ball was half tile off the goal and was never going to move to fit it. The gameplay was fun and great concept!
