Use of the limitation
I incorporated the roguelike limitation into Keyper by designing the gameplay to be turn-based and perma-death, with an infinite number of procedurally-generated levels that increase in difficulty as the game progresses.

The game with it's reduced palette and resolution looks great and is easily readable.
The concept is well executed and quite fun. The enemy are a bit unpredictable, which sometimes add to the experience, but can be frustating at times also.
The music feels a bit jarring; it feels too modern and clashes with the rest of the game.
The camera is also too rigid, it's kinda sickening.

The enemies have one turn for every two player turns. This means that every time the player moves twice, the enemies move once.
I agree with your statement about the music! Something 8-bit-styled might fit much better.
Regarding the rigid camera design: I did consider implementing smooth, velocity-based camera movements, but I was worried that it would clash with the vintage aesthetic of the game too much, so I ultimately decided not to.
Shame, but I see your point regarding the camera. But just moving it every pixel wouldn't hurt the aesthetic imo and be enough.

Another really fun game, i like the pacman type of gameplay with the red skulls following me and having to collect 3 keys in each floor, and i think the difficulty also increases each floor which i really like :D
