Took some times to understand but the game is cool, and graphisms are cute !

Developer

Thanks! I'm really glad people enjoyed the graphics :)

Cool game about... inflation and/or the destruction of the middle class?

Developer

It's mainly about repetition. When you keep working toward a goal only for it to keep moving away from you, seemingly forever...

WARNING: SPOILERS!

I like the simple graphics and the interaction with the top hat that keeps raising the entry fee
It reminds me of life, you keep working and working but it never seems quite enough to get you where you want. Maybe you can add something/someone to the entrance that collects star taxes as well for an even more crushing feeling?

Developer

Oh yeah. That is exactly what I was going for: The felling of stillness even though you're moving.
There were so much I could add but I had only a few hours to work on this project so I did what I was able to.

Thanks for the comment, I really appreciate it!

Very charming graphics and nice atmosphere in this game! I was a little confused with the gameplay though--does collecting a certain number of stars allow you to pass the LOCKED portion?

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

There is no ending, it's just a repeating endless loop (everytime you enter the clerk room the needed score is bumped to a little over how much stars you've got). The game was intended to represent the felling of being forever stuck doing something.

I did want to make it a little longer, add variation and clarify a few thing (like how this can be seeing from the eyes of minorities) but I had very little time to work in something so this is was what I was able to make
