thank you for playing :3

uso o godot a tempos e ele é tão melhor pra tanta coisa. As questões de localização e de controle são muito boas. Inclusive, seria super simples criar controles diferentes pra aquela sua oficina de controles alternativos usando o Godot :)

Hey! Thank you very much for taking your time to write this comment! I really appreciate it!

Yeah, there is not much. I had planned load of stuff (more powerups, levels, random infinite mode) but I had only 13 hours to work on it so I'm really happy with how it turned out. I'm thinking about expanding it a little bit! Thanks again :)

PS.: I've updated the description to reflect your feedback on the controls. It is supposed to work with WASD by default or so I thought. Hahaha

Awesome! I'll keep following and trying the new updates because this game has great potencial and I want to give as much feedback as I'm able to :)

Hey, really enjoyed the game, although I only played single player. On to feedback!

  • Selecting the controller will turn off the keyboard controls meaning if you don't have a controller you can't go back, only close the game and start it again.
  • The roulette is a really great to add twists to the game and force players to adapt, I really liked it but:
    • There should be an "anti bad luck" feature stopping the roulette from staying on the same criteria for to long. I lost some games because it stood on "shape" only (and I'm bad at matching anything that is not color) and I just lost.
      • Maybe even make it so that color has a greater chance to come out as it is the default and people would be more used to it or at least on it works that way on the easier difficulties.
    • I think that the roulette being on the bottom of the screen is not that great because I didn't find myself looking that much down but that was just me.
  • Holding the select button should allow you to select various squares. At least while playing with the keyboard I had to press it on every square. If you lower the number of inputs necessary it can enable faster playing.
  • I loved that you already added color blind option and multiple ones at that! It is just great when people already think about accessibility when making their games!

Most (if not all?) of my games that are HTML5 enabled are Godot games and there were very few cases that I had to actually change code and etc to make it work on the browser (compared with GMS that I used before that is a huge improvement) and I'm not even close to even knowing what I'm actually doing... but I can vouch for Godot. hahaha

I'll add my experience with jams, which do mean smaller games (I mean, most of the time). I've got much better results, in votes, views and etc, when I make and HTML5 version of my games. I think that even bigger games could benefit from having something playable on the page, maybe a small demo showing the main mechanics or something.

Not really.
The games was supposed to have more content (more variation to the repetition) but I ran out o f time before I could add more but it was always intended to be about repetition and moving goalposts.

Thanks for the feedback. It was supposed to have more interactions and each monster had a different preference and all but I just ran out of time so a finished a basic cycle and delivered it.

Funny story: until Thursday I thought the jam was going till Sunday, but I was wrong so I worked all Friday in the game for it to be left incomplete and then the jam got extended but I didn't find out until Saturday night and then I wasn't able to work on the game anymore. Hahaha

It's mainly about repetition. When you keep working toward a goal only for it to keep moving away from you, seemingly forever...

Thanks! I'm really glad people enjoyed the graphics :)

Oh yeah. That is exactly what I was going for: The felling of stillness even though you're moving.
There were so much I could add but I had only a few hours to work on this project so I did what I was able to.

Thanks for the comment, I really appreciate it!

Thanks for the feedback! The other people were supposed to be people that are actually able to go through the gate (see, their's are open) but I didn't had enough time to make that clear.

I did actually struggle with the name until the very end and I do think too that it giver away the gimmick of the game but I didn't figure any other name that could fit it so well so I just left it at that.

Thanks for the feedback!

There is no ending, it's just a repeating endless loop (everytime you enter the clerk room the needed score is bumped to a little over how much stars you've got). The game was intended to represent the felling of being forever stuck doing something.

I did want to make it a little longer, add variation and clarify a few thing (like how this can be seeing from the eyes of minorities) but I had very little time to work in something so this is was what I was able to make

Completely agree. There are very limited worlds and no progression at all. It's more a toy than a game. I initially planned working a lot more on it but unfortunately it didn't happen. You can always type in "hat" for a random hat that you may or not try guessing and if you're felling adventurous you could check the code for hats too.

All that said, I really appreciate you playing my game and taking your time to give me some feedback. Thank you very much!

oh wow! so much amazing workshops! I don't even know if I'll be able to participate in the jam but I'll try my best to watch those!
