Nice game, you dont even need to understand chess(i know how to play chess) the idea of the game is nice and simple, Didnt find any bugs or gliches. Good Job!

Pretty fun game enjoyed it more than i thought i would be :D My feedback would be:
-Sometimes enemies swing their sword after dying.
-Adding a block audio feedback could be nice :)
-Jumping mechanic does not contribute to gameplay what is the purpose of jumping? You should look at that. Maybe jumping can be the castling move or something :D

Unfortunatly my sword was oriented backwards and I couldn't hit the pawns x) But the artwork is really cool :D

I retried it and it worked well, I don't know what happened the first time but it works now ^^
It's possible that the problem came from me and not the game tbh :D
Love the artwork and sound design! The gameplay was simple but still satisfying. I did notice the enemies would sometimes attack while dying though. Overall, it’s a pretty solid game and congrats on finishing :)

This is pretty neat game! I found myself getting really into it, seeing how high in rank I could get the player while battling the other chess pieces. I like how the background has a bunch of upside down pieces—it's a subtle detail that made me laugh. Overall, a nice game!
