Really cool combination of themes & a really cool concept! It gets repetitive pretty quick since all of my allies play the same song but I think there is a lot of potential to extend on that idea!

Great idea for a game. I feel it could be a bit faster paced, maybe starting the notes closer to the bar. The art was really nice and I liked the room in particular. Congrats :)

Nice mix, the idea is super interesting. I would love to play a full-lenght game with this mechanics!
I felt like the game lacked some music, especially in the rythm attacks section, and I think that there should be some kind of indication to show if you hit the buttons in time or not.
I also feel like the game could benefit from a tutorial that explains how the attack mechanincs affect the damage dealt.
Overall, I really liked the concept, the art style and the graphics!
Hope you keep working on the game and expand this idea even further :)

Nice game! Interesting mix, i liked it alot. You should add more sound effects (when the monsters die, maybe a little battle soundtrack going in the back), but overall, nice sounds!

The graphics are nice, i like how there is a mix between 2D monsters and 3D background.

The gameplay is easy to figure out, but maybe you need to add a tutorial to let people know when exactly to press keys.

Overall, a very nice and unique game, i liked it alot. Keep up the good work!

This was really interesting as an idea but very hard to follow. There was no indication of when you actually press the arrows though I eventually figured it out, I saw no indication of how many moves I would get and when the enemies would attack so I didn't know when to defend.

The fact it had no music was definitely confusing for a sound game, and I didn't like that sometimes when I got the arrows right it took off less damage than when I got them wrong.

There was a lot of things that were frustrating but I can definitely see this doing well if you take it further.

This is a great idea! and really love the art.

It was a little hard to know when to hit the arrows.

I like the idea, and it fits the game jam perfectly!

The issues that I had were:

  • This may be an issue only with me, but I thought that the best time to press the arrow keys was when the triangles were above the arrows (Considering the arrows were there and ressembled a DDR game), but after a couple of failed tries, I realized that they needed to be pressed when the triangles were at the vertical line at the left. I think this line should be highlighted more, to send the player a clearer message of when the he needs to press the buttons.
  • It would’ve been interesting to randomize the series of notes for each use of the same attack a little, or at least change it between characters.
  • For being a rythm game, it lacked some music :( Having a beat as background music would have done greats for the game

But overall, after some minor improvements, this could be a little fun experience! Great job :)

I liked the concept. A bit slow paced for my taste, but good job !

This was nice! Classic RPG and rhythm components. I got beaten by the slimes unfortunately, but I'll give it another try. Love the art style too.
