Super cool idea and very creative use of the assets. Maybe add some contrast to the ball or have the trail fade out or something. The AI is haaaard. I think adding a dash would be amazing. Very well done!
Yea I was going to add a dash but I ran out of time. The idea was very much last minute haha. Thanks for the comment. :]
I think it’s a pretty cool concept. It kind of reminds me of squash, but with block breaking. It feels really satisfying to smash the ball and it sends the enemy flying when he gets hit. It was short but I had fun. There are some problems where the ball can get stuck in the blocks and felt awkward to get it out. Other than that, there’s not much to the game. If you continue to develop and polish this game, I think it has the potential to turn into something really cool.
Gave it a whirl and generally like the idea. Considering you said in the description that it's not finished, there isn't much I'd have to say on the art style or whatever. The important thing is that I think the notion of a brick breaker game combined with tennis controls is a good one! Given more time I feel it's something that could develop to include all sorts of other features - but such is the way of a game jam. Nice effort :)
