Good use of the art kit. However, I had trouble placing walls. I chopped down trees and crafted fences, but couldn't place them down. I read your instructions and tips, but it just didn't click with me. Now, that I read it again I see that the player needs to drag the item from the inventory to the axe symbol. I wish that I could click the inventory to select an item, while click and holding allows for rearranging items in the inventory.
Thanks for the feedback and yes that would probably be a better way to do it!
Hi i like what you did with the art kit. Good job on that.
I think you can easily increase the fun factor by adding sounds and music on this.
Good work^^
Thanks for playing! I gotta see if I will improve upon this game at some time!
I liked a lot, the exploits made a bit of an issue and it ended up lagging out. overall it was pretty good and you should turn it into a more involved game.
IMPORTANT!
I see a lot of people have problems with placing stuff.
There is a tool slot next to your inventory. (It has a pickaxe symbol on it!)
If you want to place a seed or a wall you need to drag in into the slot first!
The game is definitely good, but can be improved in many ways. Instead of having to only click, some key short-cuts could be nice, e.g 'E' for the inventory. I think it would be also nice to make a distinction between breakable items and unbreakable items, like at first I thought you could break the bigger trees, maybe make them a bit darker? Also some more music and visual effects would make this game feel more polished. Other than that, great work!
From what I can tell so far, the game seems like it has a lot of work put into it and has a lot of depth. The graphics are pleasing and the sound effects are nice. The crafting and inventory system is also well done.
Minor tweak I would suggest is allowing you to hold down the arrow key to move.
Unfortunately the tutorial is incredible bare-bones and none of the items are labeled, so I had no idea how to work with the game. I managed to craft some railroads and a black blob thing, but I had no idea what to do with them. Also, placing seeds from my inventory didn't seem to work when I left or right clicked on the ground. I'd say it looks like you have a a good game but it's impossible to explore unless things are better explained.
