Oh man, I wish this was a full game, looked promising,
God this looks amazing and even though it isn't complete, the art style is enough to make me look forward to whatever you come up with next :)
Feels like one of those meta story games. I have strong "The Beginner's Guide" feelings. Tragic dev never gets to finish his modest creation. Constantly sad... (wanna hug? I have free online hug coupons)
On the other hand you got a little farther with your game. I did about half the work and called it half backed. Ambition is our downfall lazy dev. You and me we are very similar. *Voidsays narrative voice starts to get progressively drunker* Constantly flip flopping between projects, never satisfied with the results, never determined enough to pull it thru. The music dose work wonders tho. Very emotional. Just make a "There is no game" game pull on our feely strings *smashes bottle and takes new one* and say it was intended that way all along. Oh... and, and add some tragic love subplot... They always work... Broken game mechanics *hick* das a feature! *hick* BuG? das da gameplay! You were supposed to find out that you need to get to turn 42 and click on the turn descraption to unlock the secrets to the universe!
I I 'ma lay down hre K? Just ned to slp it of! *zzzzzzzzzzzz*
Hahaha dude awesome comment, the beginner's guide is one of my favorite games, so happy that it gave you that kind of vibe, wasn't even intended.
Guess the failed artist is something I can sympathies with.
I like working around a games "limitations" that prevent you from continuing by using "bugs". Makes me feel smart. You have basically a nice premise for such a story. Just need some actual scraps of gameplay and a good plotline.
The beginners guide had really strong and witty writing as well as a gut punch of a twist. I haven't experienced such a betrayal ever since and I doubt something will come any where close to that.
When I first finished "The beginner's guide" a friend of mine who loved it too, and he told me he felt the "Mr. Nobody effect" after finishing "The Beginner's guide". He was totally right. If you want to understand that weird effect of finishing the beginner's guide you should watch "Mr. Nobody" by Jaco Van Dormael (its on Netflix now I assume) this movie blew my mind like nothing else before.
I can see where you were heading with the game, as far as I can say, the game has some creative use of the provided assets, and I really want to try and actually play the game!
U.U I feel you brotha
Damn this game looks nice, it's sad it is not finished.
Also why pawns show that they can move as knights?
Because you have a "knight pattern" card, but you should also have a cross pattern one but it is broken.
You got my curiosity, but too bad I couldn't get to see what the game was really about.
At least the "catch the player's curiosity" part worked lol
Very visually appealing and lots of cool elements. I'm sad that the game isn't playable, because it sure looked interesting!
Thanks :)
yeah, you know
