Thank U sm! Did U buy any chance get got by the double comment glitch that happens when U try to post the comment before submitting ratings? Had that happen to me like 15 times 😂

I love the instrumentation! It's like old N64 3D platformers distilled into music.

Developer

Thank you! Really happy to hear that I landed on what I was aiming for!

There's definitely a hidden treasure chest nearby that I can't access without an ability I'll acquire 8 hours later in the game.

Great work!

Developer(+1)

Oh yeah absolutely and by the point you're able to access it/remember to come back for it it's no longer useful and is doomed to an eternity of being forgotten in your inventory.

(Thank U very much!)

Relaxing, comic village feeling, I like the doubling with the flute/piccolo?

Developer

Tyvm! It's strangely one of the stock patches in logics retro synth called playful melody or something (I refuse to gatekeep sounds lmao)

Submitted

we are made to be buddies then :D thx mate!

I love the countermelody and instrumentation! (I see below you were going partially for Grant Kirkhope---nailed it!)

Developer

tyvm! glad that I managed to convey that clear enough, that was one of the main vibes I was trying to get across

Great track - feel like I’m about to go bombchu bowling! Very nostalgic!

Developer(+1)

No don't I hated the bombchu mini games (it was a skill issue, it traumatized me for life :(  ) but tysm, was deffo going for goofy, low stakes vibes!

You hit the homerun on the “Jaunty village theme for dinky adventurers on the Nintendo DS” feel

Developer(+1)

Seeee you get it, dinky adventurers need music to get up to hijinks to fr. Jokes aside tyvm for the feedback!!!

Submitted(+1)

amazing! Short, concise, cozy, but lots going on. Way to capitalize on every second!

Developer

Thank you very much! Glad I hit the cozy vibe with it, was very much going for that!

Submitted(+1)

very endearing little track! i particularly like the cheeky little "du-du-du-du-du" first heard at the very start and throughout the piece directly after the motif.  i myself was being given vibes of an early  2000s RPG game, possibly on the DS or Wii, so you nailed it after viewing the description of your submission page :D

Developer(+1)

Tyvm, glad U picked up on the "littleness" of the track. Was going for that goofy silly little guy vibe that most first villages in RPGs had back in the day. The sorta vibe that fits collecting 3 shiny rocks for some rando before setting off to kill the metaphysical representation of unbound evil, ygm?

Submitted(+1)

Very zelda like, i liked it a lot. Where did you get those sounds? they are very cute

Developer(+1)

Tyvm, was going for a mix of grant kirkhope and koji kondo. Sounds are all stock logic sounds cus I wanted that crusty midi adjacent GameCube era vibe (all found in either alchemy or the retro synth and percussion is the stock "world" percussion instruments)

Developer (1 edit)

Also quick side note, I wasn't given the option to include track details here for some reason, there's a write-up on the tracks page if U wanna read that. The motif is used as a jumping of point for the entire track, appearing mostly un-altered at the begining and midway thru, with variations bookending each loop :)

Developer

oops had to go quickly add an extra 13 seconds on the end (original upload was 23 seconds long) because I misread how long the track had to be, new one is up now :)))
