We've joined up for our first ever Game Jam.
There's 2 of us, a Dad and Son team. We've joined up so my son can get some realistic experience of the process of development; we're going really overboard for a GameJam for this purpose and have version control, Kanban boards, issues & task trackers all set ready to go. We're even planning some "focus groups" and "play-testing" - helps to have younger brothers sometimes.
Hopefully it'll be a start on his portfolio too to get him out of the catch-22 of "can't get a job due to lack of experience - can't get experience due to jack of a job".
I'm doing it to learn Unity and as a refresher for my C++, it's been a few years since I used it last (yes I know Unity works better with C#).
We'll be starting a day late too as we'll still be in holiday for the first day.
Wish us luck & good luck to everyone else!
Cheers
Geoff & Jack
