Super cool submission! I'm impressed that you managed to add things that are often omitted in gamejams, like a progression system and even a story. I kind of wish there were more upgrades since I got to 9999 pollen pretty quickly (also cause of the bug) but that might be a bit much to ask considering the time frame! Overall works quite well, I love the moment where you charge up your water in the dark and then the music kicks in, that's a great way to get you hyped. One problem I had is that my finger got pretty tired from holding the button so long. Maybe it's cause I'm an old man, but I would love to have an option to just toggle the spraying on and off instead of having to hold the left mouse button all the time. Had a lot of fun with the game despite that though, very polished and frantic.

By the way, I had a bug where after buying the last upgrade (I bought Storage last) it stuck on my screen for the whole game. Made it extra challenging for sure, haha!

Thank you! Yea, I'll definitely add more upgrades when possible and maybe a different mode, or even make it's own upgrade for auto-spraying/toggle. Also, the storage card getting stuck on screen isn't a bug, it's just hard mode! (lol)

Really stunning art, I like the GBA vibes.

I also appreciate the very high level of polish.
The movement was fluent and everything was responsive, it just felt good to play. Also great diegetic menus.

Unfortunately the decay was not really good to see, because the different states were to similar.

With pollen as currency I assumed I had to spare the bees and shoot around them only to find out that some flowers decayed completely while they were occupied by a bee I spared. Overall I feel bees are too confusing in this szenario, so I would avoid using them.

Also the waves were too long for my taste.
After I had all the upgrades (I think around wave 5 or so) I was just flying left to right and constantly spraying around me not paying any attention what I hit because it didn't matter and was waiting for the wave to finally end.

Thank you!! Bees and enemies were gonna be explained better but never got around to it and it's definitely something I am going to fix when possible. Also I do agree that the wave times get a bit silly later on and can be tweaked. I'll focus on fixing all of these problems when I can. Very helpful critique!

I like this! (✿▽✿) The sound and artstyle is awesome! I'm not sure if I have to kill the bees or leave them alone though as I'd assume it'd be a good thing to keep them lol

Loved the frogs, thought they were adorable, shame I had to spray them away lol

Great job!

Thank you!! Bees were supposed to be explained better but never got around to it (they're unfortunately bad despite their relationship with flowers in the real world lol) but yea, frogs are probably my favorite enemy, too. Thanks again!

Gorgeous pixel art, special mention to the animated megaphone.
I was a bit confused with the enemies, I wasnt sure if I was supposed to spray them or ignore them. There was a lot of info thrown at me from the start and I didnt kept all that info, maybe slow down the progression and only bring up enemies on the second wave so you can focus the megaphone text to that information. Also it was pretty underwhelming to not have anything to buy for several waves in the in-between wave shop. Also currency wasnt displayed during the shop so It would only tell me I cant buy anything without me knowing how much I have. Also since I was clicking everywhere while playing, the first time I could actually buy something I clicked something without wanting to since the shop open really quickly while I was playing and I just clicked something, not sure what.
Really nice art and good job for the game.

Thank you a lot!

Of course I can't update it while in voting phase but I will make sure to fix all these problems as I agree with them all. Some of these I was already wanting to fix but time got in my way or I simply had just forgotten. Again, thanks for playing!

Loved the pace, and the music is amazing! Well, the sound in general is amazing!  We got a good vibe from the openning/transition: it is fun, but kinda hard!!

In our humble opinion, the game can improve by using exaggerated animations and a tutorial of sorts!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! I agree very much with the critiques. I tried to lean towards more exaggerated animation at some points but didn't fully utilize them I feel. The game's supposed to have that difficulty to it, but I'm glad you liked it and still found it fun even so!

I'm aware of an issue where upgrades don't actually take currency! Just be mindful of that!
