Lovely game! I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum dare 42 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look
Hey! I just wanted to let you know that a video of one of my playthrough/reviews is up and you're a part of it!
Take a look here:
Well, initially, I thought it might have been a little overtuned. And it still might be, but it didn't take too long to get the boss mechanics done. The bishop by far, the hardest. Was a little disappointed to see that there was no final Queen fight... but hey, that happens. I think the trumpet sounds need to go. They're just so... bad compared to the rest of the sound architecture... You can probably do some coding to make the attack sounds less random and more musical and that would add just an amazing layer of detail to this.
Great work overall!
I had fun playing this and the music was great but I feel like our damage was far too weak in comparison with the boss. It took me like 10 tries and 15 mins just to beat one of the bosses. I'm glad you only have to defeat them once though.
Woah, that was amazing! I love the ennemy design, and having everything moving on beat is really fun! Aiming is a bit tricky though. But it's still an impressive entry. Congrats!
