Hello, everyone! Decides to participate in this Jam to improve my knowledge and of course play new games. So here's what my game's going to be like :) (sorry for the bad english).

Main idea

As the main theme of the Jam is "Change" I decided to make a game in which the character that the player controls often changes color to defeat enemies.Yes, I know it got a little confusing, let me explain:

The levels of the game (I have not decided how many will be) will be like an arena, where the player will be challenged to face enemies of the most different types and especially of the most different colors (yes, the main theme of the game is color), you may be wondering: "what changes from one color to another?", the answer is simple: damage. If an enemy is of a color, and the player is the same color, the player is totally immune to any damage from this enemy.

"But how does the main character change color?", the character changes color by capturing the orb of a dead enemy, when capturing an orb you will become the color the orb was

"But so the game gets easy", in fact no, at each level will have several enemies of different colors and different behaviors, while you are capturing an orb you stay white until the capture ends so you can not attack, making you vulnerable even to the weakest enemies, and still have another factor: depending on the color you are , instead of killing an enemy you may end up strengthening him, for example: If you are blue and hit a yellow enemy, instead of him getting hurt he will turn green and stronger, the same thing goes for blue + red yellow + red (other colors too)

To assist the player there are items, powerups potions and more, but I do not want to give details because it is too early for that. I will try to read and answer all comments and doubts that maybe you can have :)

if you are also making a game I wish you good luck with the project.

Any idea will be very welcome, goodbye and good luck!

oh this is interesting mechanic! this is not totally related but i know sea of thieves has a raid where you have to match your lantern color to that of certain enemies to weaken them to attack them--it's super fun and i'm curious to see this sort of reversed? though i wonder if the color triangles may be difficult to remember--it might be a good idea to playtest this with players to see if they remember the color strengths vs weaknesses. best of luck this jam!

I'm glad to see that someone was interested in my game!while going through the development of the game I will invite some friends to test and see if the game is balanced, I'm also thinking of the idea of adding an indicator that shows if the enemy you are targeting will get stronger or weaker, thank you very much for leaving your opinion :D

sounds like a good idea! i know fire emblem is known for its weapon triangle--the mobile game fire emblem heroes actually has a small cheat sheet with the triangle diagram somewhere on its ui, so maybe you could implement something similar.
