I like the old style feel and the two styles of game play. If it were just the submarine part, the game would feel too simple. Without the fighting part, the game would feel too static. So having both is a nice mix.
Thank you! I went through a lot of bad art before arriving at what you see in the game. Also, it is technically playable on Game Boy emulators! I even flashed it to a cartridge and played in on my old GBC for kicks.

i still dont understand how i can get past the menu :(
So strange! I wonder if it has something to do with your browser or OS? I don't know what else to tell you but interact with the sub hatch.
walk all the way against the hatch and press "z" or "x"
It's a very complete game, balanced in every way.
Oh gosh! Thank you for saying so.
I'm a sucker for Gameboy aesthetics and this one feels really pulished. I can see myself playing this one on a real gameboy!
Great work!
Thank you. And it's possible! I've flashed the rom to a cartridge and played it on my game boy. Feels better on the original hardware ngl.

Thanks! Yeah I love classic "shmup" games, but always wanted to do something a little more. Glad you enjoyed it!
Very nice, cohesive project! All of the art and music flows really well and feels like I'm playing an emulation of a classic game. Well done!

Noice aesthetic. Reminds me of the good ole days.
