Really neat concept! I included it in a compilation video series of all of the Mystic Western Game Jam games, if you'd like to take a look :)
Moving around the board was fun once I figured out how the game works. Eventually the two bad guys were just hanging out in the last corner I needed to explore though, and I lost :l
I would help if your character could stay in one spot if there wasn't a fire near maybe?
It looks great btw!
The game is very entertaining but the gameplay is kinda slow. A turn-based system may be better to play and understand.
Ha ha pippinbarr, you are right. It's a bit overcomplicated, or overmystic if you like. :-)
The idea is: the fugitive and her enemies are both lured by the fires, and the fires are turned on by the stars above. The rules governing the movement of the fugitive and the enemies are different, because the fugitive can be confused (by multiple fires for example) and stop, while her enemies always move, if they have equivalent choices they just pick one randomly.
The sentences below should give you some hint about the way the characters move around.
However, yes, it's very hard. I and Simona managed to complete it but, hey, we made it. :-)
I really struggled to understand how this one worked I'm afraid. I really like it conceptually and the presentation is nice, but I never really quite got a feel for what I was doing unfortunately.
