Hello from our lighthouse to yours :D

The game is fun to play, has just the right amount of darkness to it and looks very polished! I especially enjoyed the mechanic of adding more light in order to explore the island.

Just a couple of things that I'd like to mention:

- It seems to me that the info in the notes was mostly obvious from the surroundings: everything that I learned from them I could learn from just playing the game :) The last note, for example, states the fact that you get to know from the very beginning.

I enjoyed the idea that you can learn something about the sailors who came before you, but maybe it would be more exciting to get some additional info from the notes!

- I suppose I haven't quite got that, but the ending made me really curious — how did the lighthouse lure the sailors? Wouldn't it be easier for them to avoid crashing with lots of the light? Or was there some mythical element to that process? I am really interested!

That was much fun, thank you!

Thats awesome feedback, thank you! First of all, youre right about the notes, they are a nice narrative addition to the game and could definitely be more explored (maybe we thought the game wasnt that obvious to grasp? hahaha)

About the ending, well... I dont wanna spoil it for other people, but what I can say is that the ships sank because the lighthouse actually turned off the light as they approached, not the other way around (as shown at the beginning) ;)

I hope that clarifies a bit!

Oh I see it now about the lighthouse :) Thank you!

Very weird, in a good way. Nice twist on the psychological-horror-set-in-a-lighthouse trope. I also found it darkly humorous, not laugh-out-loud funny but it did have me grinning like a madman while I stumbled around with my axe seeking ever more sinister offerings for the lighthouse. Very appropriate and not at all expected.

On a technical note, this actually ran better and faster in my browser than from the downloaded version. Pretty strange for it to be that way around, but the browser version worked fine enough. There was just a bit of lag when I chopped the door down and went into the shed with the oil barrels.

Thank you! Its nice to know people are getting the same idea we thought about during the development! Also interesting to see that the performance may vary a bit from user to user, ill make sure to look further after the jam!

Very nice Idea, playing around light and dark with a lighthouse ! I didn't expected the sinister narrative but liked it.
Maybe the running speed should be increased just a bit.
Good work !

Thanks a lot! Glad you liked it!

I really loved the concept, it was spooky, and original and funny at the moments :D

On the first try I managed to jump into a barrel and get stuck there. After restarting something bugged and lighthouse did not give me light after branched. Had to reinstall it to get it working :D

And especially I liked your take on a story

Good work!

Ty so much for the feedback! Apparently theres a minor bug when restarting runs, which we couldnt find while testing, but it should be fine after closing the game and opening it again :D
