This was such an interesting experience! I had a preconceived idea of what a "visual novel" was, but it was completely thrown on its head from this game. It truly feels like reading a novel, you mostly have to make up in your mind the appearance of the characters, their actions and their expressions in your mind, retaining this very traditional novel feel, while the visuals and the music steer your emotions toward where the story is going. It's a very impressive feat!
A great story and game! Congrats!
What’s really, really impressive is the amount of content you’ve managed to include in the game. It was interesting, very well written, and poignant.
This was a cool game with a really nice ambiance! I'm super chuffed to see people tackling the flower language angle with hanahaki disease (brought it up during our brainstorm but it wasn't meant to be ^^ )
You've made a great use of the visuals and music to strengthen the ambiance!
Loved the few choices but wish there had been a few more. Not necessarily things that would have branched the story, but just things to give extra flavour and something for the player to do
As a dirty dirty silent hill/surreal horror liker, this game massaged some of those neurons in my brain. I wish we got to see more of the characters and I felt like the game elements were not perfectly formed. Your use of text and execution of concept is very good, though and especially with such a unique concept to boot. Great Job!
Woah, this was dark! I found it really interesting to delve into the protagonist's disturbed and twisted mind. The audio and visual effects were well done, and set the mood/tone just right. I have to say, the whole "throwing up flowers" thing is the most novel take I've seen on that game jam theme so far!
