Had a really good time with this game! The art is great and well suited to the narrative. Writing was spot on, The recently used towel and comment about multiple showers helped tie this together for me in a cruel ironic sorta way.
The addition of sound would have been great, but I get how jams go. I liked the washing machine sequence element. It'd be cool if there were a few more key points like that to help round out the game. But all-around, great work!

I enjoyed this game, the art and concept is amazing! I don't think the art could be any better. I loved that I felt like walking through paintings while playing point-and-click. The gameplay was fun. I wasn't too bothered by no audio, it somehow made it more mysterious but I wonder if there will still be future updates on this. My only critisism is that I felt like not really doing anything of significancy. Maybe its because I could basically click on everything so it was just trial and error. I wish there were more indicators in what I'm supposed to do. Once I found the key I searched for anything unlockable so I felt more motivated. In case you decide to work on this again for fun after the jam I will be happy to check it out again!
Really love this concept. Superb writing on every interaction in the house, and the art is just fantastic. Love the subtle clues, like the bedroom closet, but I miss some extended context about the protagonist. The ending is perfect, and would hit harder if we had more an emotional connection to this man character, though I am a bit confused about how the key keeps getting into the washing machine (if that's actually what happens, without spoiling too much).
Took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out what to do with said key, but I didn't really feel lost until then.
Also, I see it was mentioned on the game page, but I took my time with the game, reaching the washing machine after checking pretty much every other interaction (including taking a shower), and the clothes were already washed and ready to come out at that point.
Anyway, keep it up! I had a good time, and I'd love to see more if you continue to work on this project.
Thanks for playing! Yeah the key returning to the washing machine is a plot hole and the clothes already being washed is a bug. I definitely agree with the need for more buildup and emotional connection. Thanks.
A nice concept but I felt a bit lost because I had no clue of what I supposed to do. Just wandering around and clicking random stuff.
Thanks for playing - that's definitely a fault on my part. I'm guessing that you didn't reach the end, so in case you wanna try again (or to anyone else reading this who's also lost), try heading to the laundry and clicking on the washing machine.
I'll give it another try for sure :D
I am trying to receive as much feedback as I can on my early prototype for my final project, if you want to help a stranger out! :D
Pleasing to look at, good prose, good atmosphere.
Too vague at a high level though.
1) As a player, I need to have an concrete objective or feeling of what my character would want to do, very soon into playing
2) I wouldn't say the loop didn't fit or came out of nowhere - but it's so light on context that I'm not sure what the point is - I enjoyed theorising I'm a ghost - but if so I'd like it to be clear that I have unfinished business... or whatever is appropriate for your own interpretation :)
I really like the art and writing style of this one. I also like how each of the paintings has a description. The story itself is a little unclear; the twist didn't seem to fit well with the previous buildup or the man's thoughts and reactions. At the end of it I still wasn't sure what was going on. The endless loop was interesting, but I only had a vague idea of why it was happening in the first place. Still, the writing gave it an overall contemplative feel, and I got a real sense of the man's emotions.
Thanks for your comment! This is great feedback.
