Something you wanna say? ٩(^▽^)۶
This game jam was great so far :D I really liked the theme! Usually I focus on mechanics in my games, so it was a lot of fun trying to add some narrative as well. Please let me know what you think! I am always open to any kind of feedback :)

I like this game, you've done such an awesome job! I love the art style and the mechanics work well. It was a good challenge and I enjoyed the music. My only critique is that the jumping SFX was a little too loud. Overall a super solid game.

Thank you very much for playing! I am happy you enjoyed the game. I also appreciate your feedback very much. I will try to balance the sounds a bit more! Finally, happy to hear you enjoyed the music! I am very new to making music :D

This is really well done, great job!  I played to the end and enjoyed the challenge of it.  It shows that you enjoy working on mechanics because they worked very well and you tuned the challenges very nicely.  The camera movement was smooth, the checkpoints were well placed, and the ghost character worked well in introducing the mechanics.  Celeste vibes, in a good way.  Thanks for making it -- nice work!

Developer

Thank you very much for your kind words! Celeste is one of my all time favourite games, so it is high praise for me to hear you got some Celeste vibes from it :D

On top of having amazing pixel art, this is really, really fun! I can totally see people speedrunning this!
I'm used to challenging games, so I didn't find it that difficult, but it's still challenging enough and finishing it felt kinda rewarding. The narrative and the music were also really good! I loved the phantom!
Great job!

Haha, it is very interesting to hear that everyone experiences the difficulty in a completely different way. Also makes it very hard to design a game that is fun for everyone XD I am happy to hear you got some joy out of it :D

I have only recently started making music for my own games, so it feels nice to hear you liked it. At least it was not too annoying :) Thanks a lot for playing ^_^

It is very challenging, at least for me it was. I am sure that those that like difficult games would love it.

It was difficult, but felt very polished, and the pixel art gorgeous.

I died sometimes just by touching a wall that did not have any obvious danger that i could see. I made a screenshot when i was trying to slide down from the left wall of the stalactite:

The only thing i think this game lacks is, maybe, a little more story. At first i thought that i was just keeping the spirit(?) company, or maybe protecting it from something during the journey, but it turns out it was me who was returning home(?).

But maybe it is just me who did not understand :-P

Thank you very much for playing! I am sorry for making the game too hard. I think that for short gamejam games like this it is better to urge on the side of too easy than too hard, but for some reason it is hard for me to do >_< I am happy to hear you like the polish and art though :)

That is indeed a bug. Apparently I never tried to slide down that wall myself, so I never caught it. Should be an easy fix though, thanks for letting me know!

I very much appreciate you shared your experience of the story. This was the first time I tried to incorporate a storyline in a game, so there were bound to be some story telling mistakes. I can completely see how you would be confused by the goal of the journey. I will take that feedback with me for my next games :D

Great game ! Love the graphics, it was very polished.
The only thing is the difficulty : I have nothing against difficulty, but sometimes, I was dying because I touch a wall or even touch nothing? Maybe it's a bug I don't know
But overall, it was really pleasant and I loved it !

Developer

Hmm, dying when you touch a wall or when touching nothing sounds a lot like a bug. Do you remember where in the game this happened to you? I did not run into this one before.

Thanks a lot for playing! I am happy you enjoyed it :)

Thank you so much for playing! I am happy you liked it :D

I was already afraid that it might be too hard. I have a tendency to make the difficulty curve too steep. I am curious where abouts you decided to stop playing? That might give me some feedback on finding the right balance

Ah, I see what part you mean. That is indeed one of the more difficult jumps. Thanks a lot for your feedback! :D
