So since you took the time to make such a well rounded and most impact full critique on many games, questioning their adherence to theme, I take my time to comment on yours as well in my standard fashion.

Summary:

Adherence to Theme
  • You are packing your clothing. The core mechanic of your game has the word pack in it, in the most basic way I could think of., but it's there. I fail to see how this differs much in terms of adherence to theme to mine, at all (apart from our game having a more clever word play in it.)
  • Check out the entry called "The Morning Rush"  , which uses the same setting but more originally.

Game Design
  • The controls where very sloppy, camera movement seems to be hard coded in terms of sensitivity to your mouse, which is a bad thing. I suggest looking up basic First Person Input videos first... (Not just from Backey's the hackey's.)
  • You can Jump in your game, there are light switches that can (for some unknown reasons) only be reached by jumping. From what I found, there is no way to toggle the light switched nor is there any reason why you should be able to Jump at all, it has no Gameplay implications. The time you put into coding that could've been relocated towards more meaningful mechanics. (Since you borrowed so much from Slender, maybe a simple sprint with a stamina bar.)
  • Since your running speed is incredibly high, I found it hard to control the game. As mentioned before, a sprint mechanic would help contain the movement a bit, or tweak some values.
  • You got some things right though. I feel the Level Layout is quite enjoyable for a horror experience, even if your structure could use a bit of refinement.
Originality
  • Highly inspired by Slenderman Gameplay (also used sounds from that game and Textures from Minecraft)
  • I gave extra points for being of a school setting, where you have to find your clothes, which I thought quite funny, although there is much room for creative improvement.  (Again look at games like these for inspiration.)
Style

It's a 3D jam game so I oversee some flaws in graphics, however,...

  • The Fonts and Colors are very hard to look at / read.
  • The graphics are super glitch-y when you are close to walls.
  • It hurts itself being this dark , I know, it's the easiest way to make a game scary but I can think of many ways this game would've been better without being this dark or even a horror game.
  • The sounds where highly unpleasant, and not in a good way. Very loud and obnoxious.

Thanks for replying for this game. The textures from minecraft were just an axident and there will be more thing (for example the stamina), but it was our first game and we basicly don't know what is unity about. We learned a lot of things and all of them are in this game. We know that there is a big room for improvements, but still i am 11 years old and my friend who was making levels is -- years old. The fonts are my own made fonts, so thats maybe why it is too hard to read the text ( : and the mouse sensitivity was an axident too, because in unity the mouse sensitivity is lower than in normal games, but when i exported it, the sensitivity was high as f***.

ps: I dont even know what slender is a game for.

Well I understand what you are trying to say...

But I felt like I couldn't let you get away with this pretty unwarranted critique you put on others games, so I went overly critical myself. (Although I feel I made valid points)

I mean you said I didn't hit the theme (which I undeniably did, just in a way you couldn't understand) and that was all you had to say about my game? Possibly rated it badly for it as well but know that Game Jams are mostly for fun and improvement and not a battle royale, where you have to trash everything to get to the top. This isn't Fortnite.

So stop trying to justify your game by excusing it for you being new. You learned something? That's good. Great even. I just pointed some things out I would've done differently, you don't have to defend yourself towards it. When you continue to make games you will get better eventually.

P.S. Slender was one of the OG indie Horror games back in the day. It  possibly inspired the Five Nights At Freddie's series among many other indie Horror games. The original is free, once you search for Slender Game. If you decide to play it, you will notice the similarities to your game.

I dont think this was critical, and i also forgot to say in almost every comment that the game is still beter tham ours. I player slender and i can see the similars. But this is how almost non-creative horror game looks like (:

Developer

basicly you are packing your things.

What does this have anything to do with "pack"?

Also, the controls are kind of wacky

You literally used the minecraft nether portal texture. Plus the post processing is poor/almost non-existent, Materials are poor, music sounds like it's made by a 10 year old. Instead, i made my own sprites, imported them, made my scripts, and btw it took me 2.5 hours, and i am a solo dev. Please don't insult other games when yours isnt even comparable.

Developer

i know. I was oir first game and i dont even know how to make post procesing
