  • Thank you for participating in our jam! The gameplay is short, simple, and to the point. It kind of reminded me of Breakout a little bit with the bouncing mechanics. The controls feel a little bit awkward, like not quite as responsive as I expect them to be, and sometimes right-clicking doesn't push them together. It also took me a bit to realize that you had to move the cats a little before the dotted line would show up and you can right-click. It's also very easy to accidentally drag the cats off screen, which made right-clicking no longer possible as well. I also couldn't figure out where you could see the highscores at. I liked the connection to the theme, and it was overall well-executed. It was interesting when the mice started glitching out doubles, but since everything is the same color it was somewhat difficult to tell what was going on the screen sometimes, like a little too much was going on. If the mice were a different color than the cats, that might have helped with this. It would have been nice if the pink bar didn't show up on PC, or was transparent or something, because it felt a little bit in the way. I had to turn down my audio all the way while playing. Just holding the cat would cause that noise to spam, some of the audio sounds were much louder than the others, and it was overall kind of harsh on the ears. It was an interesting game, but the replayability isn't quite there. The gameplay isn't super engaging, hitting the cats and resetting your score is kind of frustrating when you get to the point where everything is glitching out, not to mention they're the same color and size of the mice, so it can be difficult to tell when it's overlapping a mouse. For a game made in under 2 days though, it's still a solid prototype! Side note, are the multiple frames on the cats supposed to be reminiscent of old windows OS where if you drag the window around it makes copies of itself? Because that would be a nice touch.
