  • Pretty fun, and a clear connection to the theme! I liked the art styles and the overall game is pretty cute. with a nice, simple concept. I didn't know why I was making the connections at first, and then died the first time kind of by surprise, because I couldn't figure out what to do. But once I learned, I was able to make an earnest effort to keep going. I liked having to throw the connector a few times to see if I could snag the right node. Eventually, though, I died and respawned off-screen and couldn't reset, but I did have fun while I played. Jumping and such was pretty uncontrollable, especially with the jump pads. Bumping my head and then lying flat on the ground was a little frustrating, but having the Q button to reset is a pretty funny way to work around the weight of the character. I like seeing those kind of quick fixes in game jam games, because it really does feel like people are learning the various aspects of making a game. You introduced it very well by it being the first button you press in the game. That was smart! This game feels like such a solid effort. Having a few simple sound effects could have helped teach the player what was happening as your battery died, or make bonking your head and lying flat on the ground funnier. I hope you learned a lot from this jam and might use some of these things to expand this project or even make new projects in the future. I'm really excited for you.

Very atmospheric game. Great robot design! And art style in general.

There were a few bugs (e.g. firing at 4th lamppost in the chasm did not link it to the generator, had to restart), and it was somewhat annoying to wait for the robot to stumble around bouncy platforms with no control, but overall it was pretty clear what to do in the game and how.
