  • A genuinely fun game with progression, danger, cute art, and clear connection to the jam's theme. I found the gameplay interesting and I found myself wanting to keep going even as I got eaten by a big spiky beast. I think this is overall, quite well done. The game runs smoothly and I didn't run into any game breaking bugs. The sound effects were well-placed and never ticked out of time. If I had to find a few issues, I'd say the main one was 'combat' where it wasnt clear if I was doing any damage, or if i was even meant to engage the enemy. At one point, afte running at its body a bit, it disappeared. Not sure what happened, but that thing chased me down after that! The art is cute. I especially like our workshop mole friend. I could see some further upgrades being a 'nearest workshop' tool, because I died pretty quickly and respawned new the top, not knowing how to get back to the workshop. But it just added to the difficulty, which isn't a bad thing. Overall a good game. I liked how the 'soil' and the 'empty' space felt different to move through. Details like that make it quite impressive. I could see this being a genuinely fun endless/beat your own high score mobile game. It would lend itself well to the platform. Well done, team!

Wonderful game, it's impressive that you could do that in a week! I love how the oxygen pipes work, and it feels like the oxygen decay is tuned just right. The process of searching for more ores in the dark is fun, but doing it while managing the oxygen and the worms, it's very entertaining.

About the things that could be improved : pausing the game while the shop is open would make the player's life a lot easier, and having the shops be actually visible like the first town would help a lot. Also it wasn't clear at first that i could scroll down in the shop, which is too bad since vision distance, jet speed and ore yield seem like the most powerful upgrades. Also it's not clear that the worms can be killed, i spent my time just avoiding them lol.

Overall this gives me the same feeling as those cool flash games that would hook me up for hours as a kid, which is very nice. Once again, congrats on making such a game in just a week

Very addictive! I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought. The artstyle is charming and cute, and the gameplay loop feel sastifying.

Super fun! Love the art and overall cohesive concept. Music and SFX were very nice. The only tidbits I had I wish I knew how far was the "end" I just made it a goal for myself to get to 10k meters, idk if I could have kept going if I had upgraded my saw or not. Also I think I was getting hit by the worms, but could not tell if I was losing any health or not. Overall super fun game and very cohesive!

Darn. Actually really enoyable. I died before finding the green gems XD Nice job. Check out our 3D puzzle game built with UE5 during this GameJam if you have some spare time!
