Judge feedback

  • Gameplay: Game works, hit detection is a little rough, and I'm unsure if the infinite jump was intentional. The pacing is on the slower side, but it's a solid little avoidance platformer. Creativity & Innovation: I didn't see anything that felt particularly unique, unless the infinite jump/float was intentional. That said, if it was I would have liked to see more incorporation of that into the level design and obstacle avoidance. Theme Adherence: The jam theme seems to be supported by the narrative element, but not through the game mechanics or systems. Playability & User Experience: Game ran mostly smooth. BGM didn't auto loop and reset on player death. No critical issues. Art and Design: Very cute art and assets. Overall Fun Factor: This was fine, but it is missing a unique fun factor. As an overall comment: Great beginner jam submission! No bugs/being beatable is a huge win!

Good job! A couple of notes:

  • The music is a bop, but it resets on death, which for me was a lot at the start. It also doesn't loop, and there was a long break in between the music cutting out and me hitting the next level
  • I had to double jump to get across the first obstacle, but didn't realize I could
  • Then I realized I could jump infinitely- I could literally hover through the entire game, which was actually super fun. At one point I thought you were playing into it... and then I floated past the elevator XD
  • The translation to English is hard to understand at the part with the chicken obstacle

It was really fun! I really liked the music and the character design!
