I enjoyed it overall! I got to the halfway point and had about 2.5k, felt like I made decent decisions so far!

The core gameplay loop was interesting, but a little stale, could use more areas, or have them unlock gradually?

The character art also seemed to be AI generated - apologies if it's not! The clavicles and hands seemed a little uncanny-valley (and the shadows need some work). If it is AI, the advice I game someone else is to go over it in an application like Aseprite or Paint3D, so it has a consistent style and the art makes sense. If you made it yourself, it's pretty good! (just work on your fundamentals <3)

Nice work overall!!

Really enjoyed this, very cozy, reminded me of No Man's Sky. I like the system to upgrade- I enjoyed harvesting the materials, building the ships and loved the sounds it made! Nice work!

Got stuck in the first room, door says I have a case to solve, but I couldn't figure out what to interact with/how to interact. Loved the atmosphere though!

Major props to your team - I got totally hooked, but had a game breaking bug :(

It happened somewhat on my first night, after crafting a bottle, I would no longer be able to move my cursor, I had to throw the flask to regain control. I had to try it a couple times but was able to get through it. Second night I had no issues, but the third night it was worse: every time the eyes appeared the movement locked up, so I was never able to throw a potion. Also had a bug that night where the green potion was automatically in my hand, but not able to be seen, so I wasted it by throwing it at a wall. I tried 3 times and it happened every time :(((

Was sad I didn't get to finish it! Some other thoughts:

  • I did not like the tailor, but I historically am not a fan of "waifu" characters. I did start to suspect they were the werewolf before my game broke, just because of how awkward the interactions with them were
  • Opened potion crafting menu the first time, had to hit ESC to close it, couldn't open it again to craft the other potion on day 2 ( first day you can craft potions, worked on the second day you can craft potions)
  • I noticed it was "daylight" through the window after you hit the werewolf with a potion, and also between the cracks in the walls

Overall I really liked it! It's a cool premise and could definitely be a really engaging game!! Good job!

Reminds me a lot of Suzerain!

  • The "xxx Success" screen's wording confused me at first, successful might make more sense organically
  • AI art turned me off immediately. I don't mind it when I can't spot it right away, but it was pretty clear: repeated textures didn't match, that lady's hand is scary, the photos hanging on the wall in the office. Every scene in the intro had clear AI art. (My advice: run the images through Aseprite or something similar and fix any issues, the art style is consistent and halfway decent aside from this.)

Aside from that, I think it has a lot of potential. I love Suzerain and other government sims- nice job!

Didn't know that, I will try it again!

Really enjoyed this! Got past the intro into the first day, might come back and finish it up after the jam :)

Liked the character design, the walk animations, the UI overall. The intro was a bit confusing, but in a good way, where I want to learn more about what is going on. Great work!

It's a good start!

I took the left to the lake, bought a helmet but couldn't figure out what to do to turn the lights on. Next steps could building it in a more versatile engine, maybe using keyboard or mouse mappings?

Is there a way to make the game downloadable from itch? Or playable in the browser? I'm probably not the only person who is going to be turned off by the mediafire download link.

¡Muy lindo! Me encantan los speedrunning tiempos.

¡Agregue una traducción al inglés!

Really enjoyed this game! The intro was a little hard to follow, and none of the story was relevant for the gameplay. I loved the sliding puzzle mechanic, reminded me of old Pokemon/Mario ice puzzles. Music is great, graphics are very cute.

I think if you want to leave the intro text how it is, maybe have the enemy sprites be the "annoying ghosts"? I played until level 11 and didn't see any enemies that would be related, but they were all nicely drawn. Especially liked the flying axes, the spinning spike pillars, and the spikes that popped out of the holes.

Really good job! I'd enjoy playing it on something like the Switch as a cozy puzzle game :)

Thank you so much!!

Took your advice and made the intro skippable, and linked it in the Extras area in case anyone wants to watch it later (whether they skip it the first time or not).

Thank you for taking the time to play it and leave your feedback :)

Nice job! The falling animation of the game/studio name is a really nice touch, enjoyed the background music and the colors of the background.

Surprisingly soothing! With a vaporwave background and some lo-fi, I could see this being a really popular phone game!

Crashed when I ran out of lives :(

Couldn't get past the narrow platforms, so I didn't get to see much, but I enjoyed it. Great music! Did you make that yourself? Cute little game overall!

Emphasis on challenging! Was not good at Flappy Bird back in the day, so can't say I'm surprised.

Love the look of the later levels from the screenshots!

I really enjoyed this. I don't play many FPS with mouse and keyboard, but I enjoyed the atmosphere a lot. Thoughts as someone who's bad at this genre:

  • I'd love a crosshair
  • The knife seems OP compared to the gun - maybe turn up gun damage?
  • I didn't understand the enemies were going to spawn after a while, so I kept running around the city getting confused and then ambushed

I love the look of it, but I am not sure how it is played. Do the races and classes make a difference? How do you attack and interact with things? Can you go into the buildings that have people inside?

I also think you might have more success if you can figure out a way to upload it to itch. If not, maybe add the link in the description; opening the image and typing it out is a bit tedious.

Nice work, would be willing to play it again!

Very cute! I got 4 memories on my first play :)

Looks cute and I love the idea! I am probably missing something obvious but I can't figure out how to move?

This is so cute! The music, the art, the gameplay (I love sliding the cart around omg)...

One thing I think you could expand, could definitely have a tutorial level instead of the intro page. It's a lot of text and I honestly didn't read the second page.

Overall it's adorable and wonderful and you should definitely expand this, would make an amazing cozy game!

Definitely think you should add some more features - maybe see if you can make the circles and squares come out randomly?

You could also work on some of the bugs in this one- the counter keeps going after the end, might be an easy place to start.

Good luck with your games! :)

Hey, thank you so much for your feedback!

You were absolutely right, I was missing a way to get back from the extras screen. I added that and a reset button to the extra card game, in case anyone else runs into similar issues or if they just want a quick reset.

Thank you for taking the time to play the game and leave your thoughts and comments about the bugs!

Thank you so much for your feedback! I implemented your suggestions and added a typewriter effect and a nice typing sound effect when the text changes. I never would have thought of that :)

Good idea and great game! I liked the sprites for the different fruits and scarecrows :) Here's mine: https://poliasgames.itch.io/corpo-connections-demo

It's already a remake of gamejam game, so feel free to play the older version too!

Really interesting! Loved the aesthetic!

Great atmosphere - super creepy! Took me way too long to realize the guy at the bottom meant space to jump, so I ran out of hydration :(

It felt like it was balanced well, too. Like I said, no prior experience, but after a while I was having to be very precise with my resource management to stay alive. The core game loop was really fun!

(1 edit)

Did you get an error message or anything when trying to use the windows start button? There's only one part where it's supposed to function.

Thank you for playing!!

If I had the time I wanted to add some jumpscares :)

Thank you for playing!!

That's really smart, I didn't even think to try that! Probably more user error than anything on your part XD

Really fun- I have never gotten into tower defense games before but I really enjoyed this :)

Cute idea! Only the drumstick bar would fill up for me, even if I did the music and soap(?) correctly. I also couldn't figure out how to gain affection points, but I still enjoyed it! Nice job and cute cat! :3

Hey, thank you so much for playing!

I've gotten a lot of feedback about the font and it's something I'm going to rework in the future!

Good job! A couple of notes:

  • The music is a bop, but it resets on death, which for me was a lot at the start. It also doesn't loop, and there was a long break in between the music cutting out and me hitting the next level
  • I had to double jump to get across the first obstacle, but didn't realize I could
  • Then I realized I could jump infinitely- I could literally hover through the entire game, which was actually super fun. At one point I thought you were playing into it... and then I floated past the elevator XD
  • The translation to English is hard to understand at the part with the chicken obstacle

It was really fun! I really liked the music and the character design!

Really nice job- enjoyed the music, the platforming, the sudden darkness at times. Great work!

Really fun! I had a great time playing it- cute music, fun mechanics. Nice job! :)

Yay, got it working! Are the metal balls supposed to give you an extra tile? I can make it to the first platform, and then I can't seem to make the jump to the second with only 4 tiles.

Either way- I hate heights and it really gave me some discomfort with the cloud animation! The way the tiles are white makes them blend in and just added to my anxiety! Good job!!

Hey, thank you so much! That is exactly what I was going for so I'm glad that's what you got from it! :))

Thank you for the feedback, I'm glad you liked it!

And yes, the text is definitely a little fuzzy, I think it's better when downloaded as opposed to playing online. I am looking into how to make it more readable!
