I like the concept of changing sizes with each jump and having to plan out how you are going to kill all the enemies. I also like that the art was cohesive, looks self made , and not traditionally "pretty". The jump feels a bit fast and it can be hard to land where I am trying to go. Or maybe I just suck. xD
Thanks for the feedback. Yes I made the art myself and can honestly say I didn't waste hours trying to make them look good, I though the game would be more important than the art
I don't think how i posted my last review showed how i felt, it came off as narcissistic so i wanted to apologies and rephrase what i meant, The game looks bad, the sprites are reused alot and all the levels look the same. The gameplay is buggy with the enemy's not dying and not allowing you to jump, the player is a hassle and resizes and changes a lot without warning so you cant really plan what you are going to do. There is no control. Lastly, the ending doesn't really end the game, no "You Win" or "Level Complete" Message to Congratulate you. a small touch you could have added was sound and music.
So yes, The game is still bad, I just didn't explain why and hopefully this can help you for another game.
There weren't any bugs when I played it so I don't know how to help, though the resizing is an aspect of the game.
I really appreciated your effort at drawing the player and the enemies by yourself. It was somehow cute. You managed to make a couple levels with an objective and some concepts you liked. It doesn't matter if it's good or bad, it matters that you learned something from making it!
By the way, I wanted to say that the main menu at the start tricked me into thinking I was meeting God!
Thanks for the feedback and yes, it was a learning experience.
Thanks for the feedback. This is my first attempt at a game jam.
Like you, it was their first attempt. It's not fair to criticize someone this much, but you could give some suggestions to improve. Take note next time!
