I absolutely love the artstyle, especially the 2D animations! The 3D city is great too, really like the color choices.

Thank you for the kind words! Caroline is a phenomenal animator, and I'm sure she would be thrilled to know her work is being received so well!

Wow, I don't see Unreal often in game jams! Great game and use of the theme! I just had an issue with the missing cooldown on equipment of the glasses.

This game looks really good. There's a clear art direction with the 2d cutscenes and the 3d gameplay. I like the neon-drenched city and the dust clouds full of angry limbs. That aside, I do wish there was another mechanic to keep the game fresh aside from walking and avoiding the fights. Maybe a bunch of things to collect? :D I found the singing voice very funny whenever I equipped the glasses, though I don't get why it would stop the enemies (perhaps it was the singing that stunned them).

Overall, this is a nice entry that maybe could use a different gameplay mechanic. The visuals are excellent and I know you could've done so much more if you had the time. Congrats on submitting!

Nice!

Let's start with what you already know- this is one of the best looking game in this jam. The 2d animation was absolutely brilliant. The 3d parts were very "vice city", and look great too. Music was very fitting, and the only thing I didn't like the presentation was the alert sound when you get noticed. Something more brawl related maybe?

The theme use was good- you have both street fights and glasses, and avoiding fights, instead of taking part in them was a nice twist.

The gameplay itself... I have mixed feelings. I could say the controls felt sluggish, but then again, you are controlling a drunk guy, so sluggish is what you aimed for. I feel like the game could use a bit more complexity. Maybe some more interesting layout for avoiding brawls? Maybe more mechanics than just whipping out the glasses (although the animation when you do this- once again- brilliant).

Good job on this one (and nice to see a group effort!). Keep up the good work!

Woow graphics are stunning! I wish that gameplay was a bit more intense but you could easy added now when you have a game. Also animation when you equip glasses it's a bit too much to be played every time I use them. But good job!!

Thank you for both playing the game and the feedback!

I like how you used the fight theme , about avoiding fights :) Graphics looks nice. I did not really understood how to use the glass, because when they are equipped they are here forever ?

Developer

They should act as a "serenade" mechanic, to slow the attacking mob. I'm not sure if you experienced a glitch or not -- or if that mechanic wasn't made clear in game? Anyhow, thank you so much for playing the game!
