How did you complete the challenge?
I'll be honest, I never thought writing a piece of music using only 3 instruments would be tough but I very quickly realised how challenging it was going to be to find 3 instruments needed to fill in all the desired frequencies to complete the composition. So I went for a basic instrumental layout (piano, bass guitar and electric guitar) to keep it safe but nonetheless, I believe I've done okay with certainly some room for improvements.

Did you take inspiration from another creation?
This had me stumped as I was finding inspiration from multiple of fictional/nonfictional backgrounds/themes. These included western, post-apocalyptic and retro gaming so this caused me to have some level of writers block. I then decided to lay down some piano chords and then jam over the top of them using my guitar until I found myself coming up with something similar to who I've recently been listening to. Which is Tycho, so I went along with it!

Love to see I'm not the only person who thought about using the guitar. Also what kind of guitar did you use now I'm curious.

Yeah recording in real guitar makes it easier for me to input my own dynamics real time, which would often sound better than sequencing them in using midi (for me anyway). I used my Ibanez RC320-TCR Roadcore.

The western atmosphere is there. It is very pleasant to listen to.

The central part (from 35") is very nice. Nevertheless to improve this part the piano could have been softer or arpeggiated. I have the impression that there is no change of dynamics on the piano. That would have been a real plus.

Like Nick I give you a good mark on all points.

Thank you for your comment Selkione! Glad you enjoyed it and I agree that I could've done more with the piano. In terms of adding extra piano pieces during the middle section to fill out the spaces but never considered the dynamics at the time so this is certainly something I will be implementing when I revisit the track, thank you :)

Wow, great song! You may see plenty of room for improvement, but I just see a beautiful track. Simple, elegant, like I am in a.. field of yellow flowers.

3 instruments used, check.
high quality, good composition, nice vibe, check.

Overall, great job! You get a nice rating from me :)
