How did you use the theme/limitations?
I increased the tempo to make it fit a race theme; and I added plenty of (hopefully smooth) time signature changes,

Did you take inspiration from another creation?
My previous works for the time signature changes.

Feels like a theme that would play in a spooky game. This isn’t a race in the conventional way of race cars (though I think that is the point of this jam in this case), more like a race to escape something.

Reminds me to a lot of backrooms themed songs I’ve listened a lot.

I can’t say much about the time signatures usage since I’m not a professional musician, but I definitely can hear changes in the song and feels smooth.

Great job!

Thank you :D! I agree with everything you said (including the "I'm not a professional musician" haha)!

I really like the first 30 seconds.

The theme is very clearly presented and the modulation of a tone each time works musically very well.

I really like the fact that the theme goes from 4/4 to 6/4 and is always recognizable.

On the other hand the atmosphere inspires me more from Tim Burton than from Fast and Furious.

As you can imagine, I’m left hungry with this abrupt end and I would have liked to hear more.

In any case you have a real melodic talent I think.

Thanks for the nice response :D (though, for-real, I am astounded you always manage to say something nice about my works. Any honest criticism is also fine, don't worry :)

I agree that the "modulation of a tone each time" is a simple trick to re-use a theme multiple times without it sounding bad. Here, the bass and rhythm could change without any change in the melody, hopefully making the transition sound decent!

The 'abrupt end' is actually a loop to the start, which is why it sounds so abrupt! It is actually 'finished' in the sense that everything is there - the 'demo' part is only because... I am not satisfied with it yet, hihi.

"you have a real melodic talent": THANKS! That means a ton coming from you :D! I would like to think I am decent when it comes to making chord progressions and melodies, but I just suck so much in the mixing and mastering department that it still manages to sound 'barely functional' haha. Thanks again ;)
