Here are some tips for the jammers:
-
Your game doesn’t have to be amazing: You don’t need to make a triple-a game to win. It just has to be enjoyable.
-
Don’t overburn: You gotta take breaks, okay? Sometimes you can just work for 10 hours a day, and you don’t want to do anything anymore.
-
Start with a prototype: All great games start small. Make a prototype, and keep adding features to it, until it becomes a game you want it to be.
-
The theme is not strict: Don’t think you have to follow the theme exactly like it says. Be creative, interpret it however you want(unless jam’s rules say otherwise). But usually, experiments with theme, lead to greater games.
