Definitely should have a score counter. Some suggestions: have combinations of keys to press, and a maximum time to press each key, which could decrease over time to increase the difficulty.

Way more fun than I expected based off of the description. I started with the hard mode, and the main difficulty I had was not being sure that my keypresses were registering due to the lack of visual cues. A score counter would definitely add to replay-ability.
