It's a very surreal game where I didn't know what I was doing at first. I still don't, but somehow I managed to stay alive. Pretty neat, kind of like playing a dream.

I really like the idea of the game! Keep up the great work!

This feels like a game with a lot of depth to it - definitely a great realisation of the theme, and reminds me a lot of Dwarf Fortress for some reason. Controls could be clearer, but trial and error gets you there. Great work!

hmm, I couldn't move that is weird. I tried using the arrow keys and space but after clicking start nothing happened :/ I am using chrome

Sorry, you don't really control the guy directly.  If you press space, there's a menu and you select choose target to start walking.  It's a bit indirect.  When moving, you can 'hard travel' to move pretty far in 0 time, but you have to play a twitchier game and risk losing food.

I'm kind of unsure how to indicate that in the UI ... maybe I should just let arrow moves do a 1-square move and have the UI wait...

oh right! I misunderstood, it is ll working now :)

Took me a bit to get the hang of the controls of the game. I like the puzzle solving nature of the Hard Travel mode. Some of the UI could be a bit clearer, a lot of it blended in with the background and was hard to read.
