This has left a huge impression on me. I am absolutely amazed by the concept, it's so fun. It felt kind of like a "dungeon crawler" but the dungeon is computer memory. And some bits I altered affected gameplay in ways I was not expecting. Hilarious and fun stuff.
I really hope you expand on the game concept, I am definitely inspired. Thank you.
This is a cool game. Took me a few minutes to work out what I had to do... I suppose I should have read the "How to play first" . I like how the player remains centred and the bytes move around. I have been swinging the pick axe non-stop so I say I lost a lot! Brilliant work, really enjoyable, great submission
Mh, got kicked out of the game after a minute or so by windows-defender. Claiming some “Bearfoos.A!ml” to be a Trojan.
When it ends in "!ml", that means it was detected as a virus by machine learning which are usually false positives. I've summited the executable to Microsoft to report the false positive. You can check the executable yourself in virus total online.
You can add an exception to windows defender for now if you want to play it.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
unique combination of cookie clicker with the game jams theme.
love it
I like how it's kind of like a clicker game but instead of clicking through an infinite supply of stuff, you mine through the memory of the game. It's a really cool realization when you first alter a part of the game by mining. I love how you aren't just told which bytes do what, you need to take a risk every time you mine a piece. I loved this submission, and it's very good for a first game released! Good job!
This game is really nice and underrated. I wish I could do a fullscreen (Every time I try to resize it or mine a weird byte, it freezes my entire system forcing me to restart which is a little annoying). The game is a little hard to see first time. Couldn't find any memory cores, but I got my pickaxe to max level. It was fun to see my data decreese or ui move while I was mining bytes.
This is my first ever released game, and I don't really know if it will work on others people computers. Because I tried on my laptop and I kept getting a Windows error :( , but in others it works fine.
It doesn't seem to work for me :(
Uploaded a new version, should work now.
I hope.
The game launches for me, I guess the new version fixed the problem
