Had a question

Hello. I was reading over the guidelines and it said that the game must receive a narrative update. Does that mean if you can only submit the game a few days before the due date, it will be considered invalid?

Hi!

Not at all, as long as your game is submitted and released/updated during the jam (so from October 1st to January 3rd, might vary depending on the timezone), the submission is valid, it can be at any time between those dates. This rule is more about the following situation:

  • A person has already released a fairy-tale-themed game before the jam, and then makes an update with a new route/new dialogues, at least, with a significant narrative change from the previous build. The person is allowed to submit their game to the jam.
  • Another person has also released a fairy-tale-themed game before the game, and makes an update revamping the art: new sprites, new CGs etc. but the writing portion is left mostly untouched. This person isn’t allowed to submit their game to the jam, as the update is not a narrative one.

Hope it helped!

Okay thank you
