Would old stories like frankenstein, Alice in wonderland or Dr jekyll and mr Hyde count?

I just wanted to know, like i feel alice in wonderland would kinda match the fairytale... but then i wondered about stories like frankenstein and so and wondered where does something start to be a fairytale?

edit:

Like is Guillermo del toro's Pan's Labyrinth a fairytale? or his pinocchio?

Hi! Well, it would depend on how you tackle the subject, but for the works mentioned, but for the works you mention:

  • Alice in Wonderland, Pan's Labyrinth and Pinocchio are fairy tale-enough for this jam, so don't worry;
  • Frankenstein isn't (but that doesn't exclude any Frankenstein-inspired story: for example, something like Edward Scissorhands feels both "frankenstein-ish" and fairy tale to me).

Hope it can help!
