I like this simple graphic style ^^ but the jump feels a little too random :-s
I'm impressed this was written in all vanilla JS! Awesome job! I really love the color scheme and graphics.
I ran into some jumping problems that seem to be due to me using a large TV (76"). When I shrank my browser window the jumping was a little more controllable. Lastly, the score seems to reset too early and I can't capture my high score.
Thanks for the feedback! Clicking the spacebar actually restarts the game once you have died, so if u don't click it the game will pause till u do. I do run into issues when making my games with sizes, and I don't really know how to deal with it, but i'll eventually figure out. I'm glad u liked the color scheme! I picked a random one with four colors and just worked with it. Im still working on my pixel art skills, but hopefully one day ill be better.
I liked the parallax effect a lot, I had problems with the jumps, it is not very comfortable, sometimes I made a strange medium double jump. thanks for sharing.
Interesting idea with the jump changing and having to touch the ground at some point. The game is very difficult and feels a bit random. I wish there were bigger gaps between the pins in certain points to try and make players land there to reset the jump.
Also, should change the key that restarts the game to be different than the one for jumping as it restarts the round without managing to see the score.
To be honest, I wrote this in a day, in school during periods when I had time. Thanks for the feedback! But i am a bit confused on what u said. What do you mean by the jump changing? Is it too high?
What i meant was, while in the air pressing the jump key triggers the jump but the height is smaller and you fall faster. These values seem to increase the more you press jump until at some point you have to touch the ground.
