This is a touching and relevant story for me recently. Thank you for sharing it.

Just stumbled across this game and pleasantly surprised. Thanks for sharing!

Ohhhh lol thank you so much!

I'm enjoying this tileset!

I believe I found a missing tile but if I'm looking over it please let me know!

I love the gameplay and the story :D

Very engaging story, amazing art and music!

I totally get it, I had the work week start and had to cut some features.

:D

Thank you for the feedback!

Thank you!!

That was the problem! I guess I missed that mechanic! I really do enjoy this game, I came back to it this morning to play around some more :)

Really enjoyed the music and the feel of the game. Pushing around the flowers to find the target felt great! This definitely felt like a harder "where's waldo"!

I really enjoyed this game! The power-ups are a lot of fun and the trading concept was well executed. You definitely feel empowered with a new skill.

The music and graphics are a lot of fun this game; feels consistent. The idea of "getting out" is unique when comparing to the other games in this jam so A+ there :)

I had a lot trouble aiming (might just be me). It feels like a game that's easy to learn but difficult to master. Great addition of a leaderboard, I wish the other games had this!

Very fun to play! I got a score of 73 but my attempts after that seemed to hit a score bug (it wouldn't go up past 12-15 and kept saying +0). I appreciate the consistent styling of the graphics.

I think some polish on this game would be worthwhile. Maybe even a leader board feature!

(1 edit)

I'm impressed this was written in all vanilla JS! Awesome job! I really love the color scheme and graphics.

I ran into some jumping problems that seem to be due to me using a large TV (76"). When I shrank my browser window the jumping was a little more controllable. Lastly, the score seems to reset too early and I can't capture my high score.

This was a blast to play and a great idea for a rhythm based game!

I think if you polish this game some more you could have a really good thing going!

Only two issues:

1. The spikes are a little hard to see because I'm so focused on the red dot (this may have been due to my screen size or something but wanted to share).

2. The game just sort of ends for me. Not sure if this is a bug in my browser or something else.

Music is fun! The combination of a mental puzzle and physical puzzle was interesting!

Amazing music! Did you play that yourself?

The power-ups are a lot of fun given you start out so slow and can't jump.

I did play the web version and noticed the audio spike at the end of the item-pickup sound effects. Definitely doesn't detract from the music so 5 stars there ;)

Unfortunately this game didn't get submitted in time for the One Minute Game Jam #6 but I think it would be been a high ranking one! I didn't see review any other "quiz" style games so this one was very unique.

I ran into a bug that wouldn't let me progress but I shared that info with you already :)

Great music/sound-effects and challenging but possible gameplay!

LOL

Thanks for the feedback!

I hope my comments don’t come as discouraging and No need to apologize! A friend and I were reviewing this game together and commented on how much better it was than my first game!

I'm afraid I couldn't grasp the mechanics of the game.

Great job on the music!

Unfortunately, the game wouldn't load properly for me :(

This game is stressful but in a fun way! It really reminds me of the mobile game Spaceteam.

Thanks <3

Agreed on the music and audio! I'm still learning bitsy and will be revisiting this app later to try and add in some recorded audio.

I've received similar feedback on the high score being unclear. I was hoping the time you login at the computer could be used but I think something more traditional should be used.

Indeed! I wasn't able to figured out a good way to do this in Bitsy. I will be revisiting some aspects (audio) later and may research how to include a clock.

Very unique game! The instructions and goal weren't clear to me immediately but figured it out. The controls and picking up/putting down the cookies was awkward at times. Also, the pine cones fell a little too quickly for me to move.

I was pleased to learn about mates burilados so thanks for sharing :)

think the game just ends at 60 seconds but I would expect a reward of some sort after playing such a hard game lol. A happy noise at least :)

If I beat the game (last 60 seconds) then I think I get the highest score possible. Maybe introducing a bonus item that drops would help separate the best players.

Otherwise, fun idea and very smooth feeling while playing.

The game won't load for me :(

Very fun concept but it did make me quite dizzy (no taking this into account for score). The game did keep me coming back to get a higher score.

Its very challenging so something to make the game more approachable would be nice; maybe some way to control the speed.

Definitely more fun than classic snake! The preview GIF shows non-linear movement that I wasn't able to do with a mouse-keyboard.
Lastly, The music was noticeably looping.

The hitbox on the "enemy" birds is too big, I kept trying to cut it close and dying. I'd also like to be able to move backwards and forwards.

I think is a great first game!

Other things I would consider nit-picks:

- Music was looping noticeably

- The score counter was very rapid (not sure if this was intended)

Very challenging game but a lot of fun. I did find myself wanting to keep trying again and again!

I'm not sure I was able to live long enough to experience all the mechanics.

I'm not sure if this game aligns with the One Minute Game jam rule of one minute :(

Lastly, I'm a total sucker for these types of graphics/shadows so 5 stars.

Very fun! The evil mines were challenging to see due to the bounce height I was achieving. Graphics are fun but the clouds came out weird sometimes. I think an option for a fixed bar that the player doesn't have to draw would be nice (for less dexterous people).
