Destroying the character sheet as part of the mechanics, and in fact that act is intrinsic to the story - brilliant! With a focused starting point for players this one can lead to lots of fun dynamic stories as well. Great work, cant wait to try it out!
HEY! I know you! lol I was JUST thinking, "Isn't it a shame that Wym won't be able to include those great games they made before for this jam?" and here you are! You put so much work and imagination into making your stuff and this is no different.
Very much in the vein of those "destroy the box" board games (or whatever they're called now). It's poignant and direct. We overuse the term, "Hero" nowadays and I often remind people, "You know in the old stories the hero often ends up...dead...right?" Sacrifice is integral to those stories and the idea of truly being a hero, and it's great that you chose that as a theme.
No notes from me on this one. It's so tactile. I think this is one people could play in less than half an hour if they wished. Very much about the experience.
Hey!! I remember seeing your work in the 10 solo game jam. I adore your art style <3 and thank you for the kind words. I like to play with the concept of "the chosen one" a lot (especially after a monster of the week campaign), and I find the concept of sacrificing, and "not physically dead because you're the chosen one, but not being dead =/= you're physically/psychologically well" fascinating. Also, really want to play into the whole this is a "one-page" ttrpg idea!
