why is my game frogman removed?

Host

i am very sorry that i removed your game. i informed you of the file being flagged as malicious. i spoke with opengameart.org administrators about the issue, and we can't host games that require a person to disable their antivirus software in order to play. it is unsafe for the oga community. even though it is an issue with purebasic and not your fault, it opens up the possibility of bad actors using the oga jams to distribute malicious software and claim that it is safe.

i really do feel bad about this, as it is clear that you put alot of effort into making your game, and you credited everything perfectly as per the rules.

if you would like to see the discussion, it is on the oga discord in the #spring-2023 channel, at https://discord.gg/yDaQ4NcCux

i want to try and get it so that we can get your game resubmitted, i have done some preliminary research on purebasic and came across this thread http://forums.purebasic.com/english/viewtopic.php?t=76051

if you can upload frogman.zip to virustotal.com for me, we can try to contact the vendor and go through the onerous process of fixing false positives. it sucks, and i really feel bad that i had to make this decision. i use standard windows defender which is used by 50% of users. i was not even able to download your game, it was immediately quarantined and deleted by defender. asking our users to disable their antivirus software in order play and rate games is just not a workable solution for the community.
