Description
This ambient synth track is meant to convey the feeling of being an alien piloting a spacecraft that shoots life-containing missiles at planets that could foster life. All of the sounds were designed from scratch using an array of modular synthesizers, the tasty chips GR-1 granular synthesizer, or logics Alchemy software synthesizer. All the editing was done in Logic Pro and the mastering was done using Ozone.

Theme
How does it fit the theme?
We designed this track to go with a game concept of other beings shooting life missiles at planets in a solar system to jump start evolution. It was meant to give the feeling of having all the time in the world but also the pressure not to waste a shot. Of course we also wanted it to feel like swimming in space.

For me that's what a space ambience song should be like!
Great work! the sounddesign is amazing
Love the sound design in this as well as the concept. It felt like it could belong in a game with a long journey through space. The lack of a clear melody makes it good material to be repeated I think. Well done!
Thanks! That's what we were shooting for. I'm really proud of myself for being able to get a loopable version of this as well considering all the reverb lol.
Very ambient but full of awe and mystery ! good job !
Thanks!
Love how everything sounds, great job!
Thanks!
Modular + granular = awesomeness. I would have liked some melody concepts added to it.
Well done!
Thanks! I'm just dipping my toes into granular but I'm loving the new pallets so far. I know what you mean about the lack of a solid melody. We made that call in the middle of the project, and I'm happy with it but you know how it is, part of me wonders how it would've turned out lol.
Listening to it, I feel as if the universe is multiplying around me. Those plucks give it that special touch.
Thanks so much! That's what we were going for!
